Under the shady trees
Making friends
Excited to go camping
Riding four wheelers

It means funny, strong, kind
It is the number seven
It is like the bright sun
It is going camping
It is the memory of my cousins
Who taught me games and riding four wheelers
When we go camping with each other
My name is Makenna
It means fun and important

Period 4

Teamwork is very important. Teamwork doesn’t have an “I” in it. We work together. As a team, we don’t blame others and count it as the whole team. When you work together, the team is very successful. My team always keeps our heads up high and we are very positive. We try our best as a team or as a family. Teamwork is not always in sports, it can also be in other activities. Teams always have to remember what teamwork means.

Do you know what freedom is? Freedom is having rights. We should thank all of the soldiers that have served and are serving now. Without their sacrifices, we would not have freedom. Freedom is very important to us Americans. Not everybody gets to have freedom. Soldiers are really brave to do such an important job. I have personal connections with soldiers, I know the definition of freedom, and I know words and phrases of freedom.
Freedom is liberty, sacrifice, and choices. Liberty is a way of life, behavior, or being free. Sacrifice is giving up something for the sake of someone else. Choices are to make a decision between two or more possibilities. Freedom is very costly. We are thankful that brave people have stood up to have rights and protect others. Freedom also means to have “control of yourself” and  it means to have independence. “ A hero is someone who understands the responsibility that comes with his freedom.”
My grandpa and great grandpa were soldiers. I also have a cousin who is in the National Guard now. This means a lot to me. They fought for everyone including me. They knew they had to do it, for the freedom. I thank them and I also support them. They were very brave to do their jobs. My grandpa was in the National Guard and my great grandpa was in World War II.
Freedom has a lot of symbols, phrases, and words to describe it. Like our flag with red, white, and blue. The American flag is a strong symbol. Another common phrase is “Freedom is not free.” Like I said before freedom is very costly. Our country symbol is the eagle, so is my school. To me the eagle is a symbol of strength.

Freedom is very important to us Americans. Without the sacrifices made by American soldiers, we wouldn't have our freedom. It is important to honor and respect soldiers from the past and present. They are all heroes. Thank you for your service.
